Why Would Power Steering Fluid Be Foamy. Look for loose hose clips damaged piping and leaking seals on the pump body between the pump and its fluid reservoir. Recheck fluid and position wheels in in the straight ahead position.
There is a built-in filter within the reservoir that often gets clogged. The foam in the power steering wheel greatly reduces the efficiency of the steering wheel. Turn steering wheel from lock to lock 2-3 times again and recheck fluid level.
If gets low definitely a leak foam is pump mixing fluid with air roar is pump cavitation check lines or pump for leak keep fluid at recommended level air bound unit can cause steering difficulty and or failure if need have trained mech look into problem.
The steering was difficult to turn but I only moved 25 ft and the jeep was on for less than 3 mins. I can not see any leaks in the system on the suction side of the pump nor at the pump itself.
